Favorite Winter Outfits

Winter is by far the worst season for me. I hate the cold and I tend to lose all sense of style. I just want to be warm and cozy, so I tend to layer up in huge sweaters and scarfs and not care how frumpy I look. This year, I've tried to make more of an effort. Pairing old classics like my beloved grey sweater, with new items like my chunky ankle boots, I've really been enjoying dressing up this winter. Below are five outfits I've been rocking over the last couple of months!

Casual Friday

This outfit has been my go-to lately! I've owned this grey sweater for YEARS and I have yet to give it away (and trust me, I flip my wardrobe frequently). It's just such a classic, clean cut look, with the comfort of being casual and cozy. I wear this to work, to meetings, going grocery shopping, basically everywhere. You can really dress it up or down. Throw on a coat and heels, boom, dressed up. Throw on a zip up hoodie, sunglasses, and chucks, and bam, dressed down.

90's Mom

I now present you with my comfiest jeans EVER. Another vintage item, I've had these jeans for a couple of years now. I love them cause they sit perfectly at the waist and fit great EVERYWHERE except my ankles. Bummer, I know. However, because they're not super skinny, these tend to look a little "mom jean"-esque and I LOVE it. Mostly because I didn't need to dish out the cash to buy a pair. I've paired these bottoms with a cropped oatmeal sweater and grey, beat up Authentic Lo Pros. Gives you a bit of 90's flare with your trendy mom jeans.

Maroon Grunge

This is my most recent discovery. I tend to forget what pieces I own and how to mix and match them well. One day I remembered I had this cropped top but had no idea how to wear it. Eventually I came to this! It's hard for me to remember to use summer pieces in the winter... you just have to reinvent how to wear them. These high-waisted shorts were a thrift shop find and I adore them to death. Paired with tights, cozy socks, and lacey boots you got yourself a grungy look.

I absolutely love this outfit and it's been my most worn lately. It's another instance of using summery clothes in the winter. The dress was one of my most worn items of the summer (it's airy and sleeveless, perfect!) but paired with a sweater it's so wintery! I usually add a cardigan or coat to this and I still don't feel frumpy even though this outfit is pretty shapeless. Maybe it's because of where the sweater cuts off, perfectly at the waist, or maybe because wearing dresses makes me feel nice? Either way, worn with tights and black booties, this outfit is perfect for date night!

Green Dream

This green top has been one of my most worn items since the fall. It's effortless! You can wear it with jeans or leggings, casual or dressed up, heels or sneakers, it just works. It's quite a statement color for me as I tend to stick to black, grey, navy, beige, and maroon. But I bought it on a whim and it's become one of my most loved items. I especially love styling it how I have here: ripped jeans and brown booties.

Hope you guys liked this post! I didn't include any links because half of the items are old or thrifted. If you have any questions, comment below and I can help you find something similar or link you (if it's a newer item).
